For as long as I can remember, I’ve chased my dreams. My goal is to inspire others to also pursue what their heart desires. Anyone can achieve their goals—it just takes dedication, hard work and perseverance.
I was born and raised in Carson City, Nevada, and I’ll always hold fond memories of the High Sierras, even though my adventure has taken me from the mountains of my youth. Nine years ago, my wife and I made the bold decision to sell most of our possessions, including our home, to hit the road for what we thought would be a one-year journey. We wanted to give our kids the opportunity to see every state in America, hoping they would learn some valuable life lessons along the way.
During our travels, I began writing for our website and taking on freelance work, but my true passion has always been storytelling. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, designing and playing board games, and, of course, writing. We are still traveling around America, though we hope to also take our travels international soon.

Tales From a Wandering Fool
Stories of Family, Freedom, and the Road Less Traveled

Our travels have taken us to every state in America and covered more than 150,000 miles! When we first set out, our youngest was just four years old—now, he’s a teenager. The journey hasn’t always been smooth; we’ve faced plenty of challenges and setbacks along the way.
Tales From a Wandering Fool is a travel memoir that invites readers to step into my shoes for an unforgettable adventure. Through 24 stories, beginning with our departure from Nevada, I share the highs and lows of life on the road. From a tire flying off on the highway to navigating precarious cliff hikes, these tales paint a vivid picture of the triumphs and trials of full-time travel.
Within these pages, you’ll read about moments that are equal parts thrilling and heart-stopping. We bring someone back to life, get stalked by strangers, survive wildlife attacks, and endure mechanical breakdowns and fierce storms. Yet, amidst the chaos, there are heartwarming moments that showcase the duality of human nature—redemption, the kindness of strangers, and the life-changing impact of lending a helping hand.
This memoir is filled with the stories I love to tell, the kind that remind us how life can be far stranger—and more beautiful—than fiction.

This isn’t even half of the stories I could tell about our travels. Eventually this series will have another short story book and a full length autobiography that follows our entire adventure in a linear fashion. In addition, I plan on writing a manual to help others live the full-time travel lifestyle and a self-help book aimed at giving others the knowledge of how to achieve their dreams.

Rise of the Trasheaters
Protecting the environment has been a major world issue for as long as anyone can remember, and ecologists have been warning of an impending disaster for decades. The scientists trying to save the planet have created a new family of creatures that survive by eating plastics. They’re known as Trasheaters. At first, it seems great; clean beaches and no more trash in the oceans. But eventually, the creatures run out of garbage to eat in the ocean, causing them to move to land. Suddenly, cities are being destroyed and society unravels. In one coastal town, Grant, a regular high school kid with normal teenage problems, is forced to face completely new issues when his school is destroyed. Travis, an easy-going guy living in his camper van and surfing his days away, is the first to spot one of the strange creatures on the beach. However, neither of them are prepared for the enormous changes that will bring them together. Can these two unlikely people figure out how to stop this destructive invasion, or will everything they’ve known be destroyed no matter what they do?

This is the first book in a five book series and I’ve mapped out what each chapter is about for the entire series.
